
NPR: Miller Looks To Crack Down On Bad Shell Corporations

In 2012 on KNPR’s State of Nevada, we heard that the Silver State is “one of the most accommodating jurisdictions in the U.S. for the creation of shell companies rivaling offshore secrecy havens such as the Cayman Islands and Panama.” Now, Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller says he has the tools to start cracking down on these companies — tools that include the threat of fines and jail time.
